About Me

Hello y'all!

My name is Mady and I'm a Texas gal that lives in LA.

I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's in Film Production. Now, I've had a lot of random jobs ranging from a College Resident Assistant to a Livestreamer to my current position as a Bridal Stylist. But, I always made my way back to the Film/TV industry one way or another.

One thing has been consistent: adapt.

I'm a super adaptable and passionate assistant that thrives to marry creativity, organization, and storytelling.

Growing up, immersion in storytelling was both within my nature and nurtured in my family. While watching the 1953 adaptation of Peter Pan, I would jump off the living room couch multiple times during the flight sequence of "You Can Fly, You Can Fly, You Can Fly," pretending I was flying with Peter on my way to Neverland. My mother reinforced and supported my positive, childish self by bringing stuffed animals to life with her voice acting. Bucee the Beaver shall forever hold a special place in my heart with her - I mean, his silly voice. To me, storytelling can be told through all shapes and sizes.

So, where does the administrative side of me come into play? Well, ironically, it started with a play. I had been auditioning for my high school's plays for some time and always got rejected. I didn't cry about it too much because I found another passion that I didn't know I had killer skills for. I adapted and became the Assistant Stage Manager, determined to support the theater one way or another.

I carried that determination to college. I quickly realized I didn't want to spend my life auditioning 95% of the time with 5% getting a role and actually being able to act. Then, my university started a new film program, where I would eventually be the second class to ever graduate with a film degree. Destiny.

During my studies, I became known as the "assistant director" gal. I learned Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling so fast, that I was eager to learn the next software. Surprisingly, the next software would be Final Draft. I seemed to find and adapt two ways to assist creative minds. Coordinator and Script Editor. I love to shape storytelling and make it better, which even translates to how production can best be scheduled to support the team, story, and budget.

Here's where the adaptable part of me comes in the most. I was the First Assistant Director for SABi Productions during the 7 month production of Hierarchy. It started off as a short film, but a page change here and a page added there, it turned into a feature. I adapted the entire production workbook and translated it to help the film succeed as a feature with little to no budget adjustment.

Once the Hierarchy project was done, the HBO Max Love and Death life and family took me in. I started as a COVID - Production Assistant and was promoted to an Office Production Assistant to support the COVID - 19 Production Manager within 2 months. I was on set here and there but really enjoyed helping the communication between all departments and ease the technological difficulties that came with the COVID-19 online check-in system, for Mac, PC, and mobile devices. Additionally, submerging myself in a large scale filing system across Dropbox and Google drive was challenging and exciting!

Now, I work as a bridal stylist and stream games on Twitch. I love hearing the stories of all my brides and supporting them on their individual bridal journey. In fact, my goal is for them to leave with a dress that makes them feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident. It's the bridal glow I have seen in every single one when they have found THE dress.

As a Twitch Affiliate, I have loved building my community and learning social media tactics to broaden myself as a Content Creator. Over the course of 3 years, I have built up my audience in both subscriptions (Lost Pals) and followers (Fairy Friends), participated in charity events, and livestream malfunctions. By collaborating with other content creators and interacting with my community, I am constantly learning and adapting to new social trends and terminology.

What is next for me? I would love to continue streaming on Twitch part-time, record and upload my monthly podcast episode of Mady Moments, and find another full-time position outside of Bridal Styling. I want to support the Film/TV, Gaming, Animation, and Fashion industry as a production assistant, production or project coordinator, administrative assistant, or something along those lines. I can adapt to whatever position you think I would be amazing for! I'm dedicated to flourish storytelling & organization.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to hear from you soon ♥
